Rivan Industries is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries you can’t electrify. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.
We’re looking for a Head of Brand & Comms to help tell the Rivan story to everyone that will be a part of our future. The key aim is to attract and engage with top talent, customers, investors, and partners (government, industry and others) through an incredible brand and narrative.
This will take the form of storytelling through content (imagery and written content), PR, external partnerships, factory tours, and many other touch-points. If you really love the architecture of building brands and engaging with people to tell that story, this is for you.
The role:
This role is ~ 40% individual contributor (writing great content, creating great visuals & imagery, publishing all content), 30% managing external parties (PR firm, designers, videographers, media events), and 40% strategy & positioning (which message should we be communicating, to which people, why, and how).
We expect this role to be a single-person team for now to build a great baseline, before building a team around them over the next 6-12 months.
Specifics:
- Create a repeatable framework of how to communicate Rivan to our core stakeholders
- What we do
- Why we’re best placed
- Consistent progress towards that
- Own and execute all content publishing
- Short and long-form written content (non-engineering) – focused around all product engineering, manufacturing, product releases, customers, and life at Rivan. See our blog for more details.
- Capture great imagery of our factory, products, team, and general progress.
- Publish all content across social channels & website.
- Manage external parties to deliver our message
- Own our PR strategy with external PR firm.
- Create stunning videography with videographers.
- Build opportunities for interviews, panels, talks, podcasts, and other external media opportunities aligned with our brand narrative.
Core skills:
- 3-4+ years professional experience.
- Bachelor’s or Masters in related field (preference to engineering to really get to grips with our product and positioning)
- Experience and aptitude for great quality content & art direction
- Experience and first-principles understanding of the steps to build a brand & positioning strategy from scratch
Specifics:
- £70-90k base-salary
- Share options as part of the early team
- In-person work at HQ in South Bermondsey, London
- Unlimited time off
