Rivan Industries is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries you can’t electrify. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.
We’re looking for a Finance Director to help dictate where and how we’re resourcing our expansion. This role will own the entire finance function, from day to day hygiene to strategic funding opportunities and long-term financial strategy, reporting directly to the CEO.

The role:
Have full responsibility for the effective operation of our site.
- Own all budgeting, reporting and day-to-day financial hygiene
- Forecasting & financial planning
- Execute all required filings, R&D refunds, and other processes
- Streamline financial processes to reduce resource spent and increase speed and accuracy of reporting
- Create easy, quick and accurate financial reports for board, investors, c-suite, and team
- Develop and own financial strategy
- Funding large-scale manufacturing, deployment and R&D projects
- Optimising financial decision making across every project
- Analyse and and run experiments across various scenarios and strategies to find optimal balance
- Deliver new funding opportunities
- Credit & debt financing
- Governmental, grants, and corporate partnerships

Core skills:
- 8+ years professional experience.
- Bachelor’s or Masters in related field
- Experience owning the finance function in hardware, energy or infrastructure companies
- Track-record of great quality financial decision making and robust, long-term strategies
- Examples of exceptional ability (own projects, past achievements, other)
