Rivan Industries is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries that can’t be electrified.
Over the past 2 years, we’ve designed and manufactured a modular synthetic fuel plant consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, vertically integrating with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. We’ve recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years. We now have clear line of sight to producing synthetic fuels cheaper than fossil over the next 5-10 years, becoming the first company in history to achieve this feat.
We’re looking for an Operations Lead – technically minded and elite at execution – with the scar-tissue to own the foundations our company runs on, so we can meet our exponential manufacturing and deployment targets without anything critical breaking underneath us.
If you urge to make a difference in the real-world, surrounded by people you admire doing great work with intensity, this is for you.

Design, build, operate and own company-critical workflows. These include:
- Day-to-day running of our new 50,000 sq ft manufacturing facility. Designing pipeline architecture and assessment flows for hiring velocity while maximising signal and consistency.
- Owning our legal function, from commercial contracts and supplier agreements to compliance, and managing internal and external counsel.
- Building cross company workflows to integrate operations with engineering, manufacturing, deployment and finance functions, to drive elite company-wide execution.
- Architecting and implementing automations and optimisations that remove operational drag across the company.
- Building communities and events that attract world class engineers and operators.
Core skills:
-
- Experience building operations functions in a venture-backed environment.
Bonus skills:
-
- Have lots of interesting side projects you tinker on, have written about, or are generally curious to work on.

- £70 – 90k salary depending on experience
- Significant share options as part of the early team
- In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South-East London – flexibility considered based on personal circumstances
- Extensive relocation support, including £6000 per year extra to live close to our HQ
- Health insurance
- Unlimited time-off
We encourage exceptional applicants from all backgrounds to apply for this role, even if they do not meet all the requirements listed.
